Dolmen
A generative MIDI engine. Set a key, a scale and a feel, and it writes bars you can actually use — then lock the notes that worked and roll the rest until they do.
It makes MIDI, not sound. Nothing is rendered, nothing is decided for you, and every note it produces is yours to drag into the arrangement and edit like anything else you wrote.

What it is for
The blank bar
Most sessions die at the same place: an empty MIDI track and no idea what goes in it. Dolmen is for that moment, and it stops being involved the second you have something.
Lock what works
Keep the ten notes that landed and regenerate the other six. The locked steps survive every roll, follow a change of key, and are stored with the project.
Your own library
Point it at a folder of MIDI you already own and it indexes the lot — label, pack, key, length — then uses it as source material rather than inventing from nothing.
Nothing hidden
No cloud, no account, no telemetry. It contacts one server once, to activate your licence, and never again.
The company
Takt
Takt is the Norwegian, Swedish and German word for beat and measure. In industrial engineering, takt time is the pace a production line has to run at. The company is named for rhythm in the most literal sense available.
The tools are meant to be stepping stones: markers left by someone who went ahead of you, useful for finding your own way. They are not meant to finish your track, and they will not.
Takt Audio Labs is based in Portugal. Every plug-in is signed, notarised, and validated at the strictest level the tools allow before it is sold.
